TEST SERVER (BETA)This world is a public test: 50x experience up to level 100 and 15x after it, 10x skills, 8x magic level, 10x loot, faster regeneration and a free store. We are testing stability, bugs and content - not the economy of the official world.Everything will be WIPED when the official 1x server opens: characters, items, points and premium time do NOT carry over.

Relic Box

Relic Box

Relic Box

A small box attached to your inventory that only takes relics. Premium opens the first slot.

What the relic box is

The relic box is a small container attached to your inventory that only accepts relics. It is not extra storage: a relic only does something while it sits in an open slot of the box. Everything else in the game ignores it.

You will find it right below the ammunition slot, where the Soul Points used to be. Click it and the slots appear just below your inventory. You put a relic in by dragging it onto a slot, exactly like moving an item into a bag, or by clicking the slot and picking from the list. Taking one out is the same click.

Where relics come from

Relics are quest rewards. Seven of them are given by quests today — Behemoth, Demon Helmet, Fire Axe, Circle Room and the Queen of the Banshees — and each relic’s own page says exactly which quest gives it. A quest can be completed once per character, so each relic is earned once. Relics do not drop from monsters and are not sold anywhere.

Characters who finished the Postman Quest or the Annihilator before this update get their slots automatically the next time they log in. Nothing has to be redone.

Slot 2 — the Royal License

Talk to King Tibianus or Queen Eloise and say license. You need a Premium Account, a promoted vocation and 5,000 gold. The license gives slot 2 a balance of 48 hours of relic use.

The hours are only spent while a relic is inside slot 2 and you are online. It makes no difference whether you are hunting, standing still, in a protection zone, making runes or talking to an NPC: relic in slot 2 + online = the clock runs. Empty slot 2, or logged out = the clock stops.
  • Take the relic out of slot 2 and the balance freezes. Hunt as long as you like without spending it.
  • Put a relic back and the balance continues from where it stopped.
  • Logging out, server saves and restarts never spend the balance.
  • The remaining time is shown in the slot’s tooltip, for example Royal License: 43h 27m remaining.

When the balance reaches zero, the relic in slot 2 stops working, is taken out of the slot automatically and is put back in your backpack. If your backpack has no room, it goes to your depot instead. The relic is never dropped on the floor and never lost. Slot 2 then stays closed until you buy a new license.

Renewing: a new license can be bought once the previous one has run out. The King and Queen will not sell a second license while one is still active.

Giant Gems: energy and recharge

The five Giant Gems are relics with energy. The gem is permanent — it is never destroyed — but its effect only works while it has energy left. The energy runs down only while the gem is equipped in an open relic box slot and you are online, exactly like the time of a ring. In your backpack, in the depot, while you are offline or in a closed slot, the energy is frozen.

  • The remaining time is drawn on the gem itself inside the relic box, and the look of the item tells how many minutes are left. A new gem is brand-new (full).
  • At zero the gem is discharged: it stays where it is, it just stops giving its effect.
  • To recharge: take the gem out of the relic box, carry it in your backpack to an Attribution Forge and open the Recharge tab. The 15 stones are only taken if the recharge succeeds, and the energy always goes back to full.
  • This energy has nothing to do with the 48 hours of the Royal License of slot 2: that is the time of the slot, this is the energy of the gem.
Your relics are never destroyed. If your Premium ends or a license runs out, the relic stops working — but it stays yours: either it is returned to you automatically (slot 2) or it waits in the slot, inactive, until you take it out.

Rules

  • One relic of each type. You cannot wear two copies of the same relic, even in different slots.
  • Only relics. Ordinary equipment does not go in the box.
  • The effect only counts while the relic is in an open slot. Take it out and the bonus goes with it, immediately and completely.
  • Relic bonuses are not Attribution. They are two different systems and the server counts them separately, even when both raise the same number.
  • The server decides. Every put-in and take-out is checked by the server: whether the slot is open, whether the item really is a relic, whether you already have that one, and whether you have room to take it back out. The client only asks.
  • Taking a relic out needs capacity and a free spot in your backpack. If you have neither, the relic stays safely in the box.

When you die

The box itself is part of you and never drops. The relics inside it are ordinary items and drop like everything else: an amulet of loss protects them, a red skull does not. If your body cannot hold them, they fall on the ground where you died — they never vanish quietly.
