Recycle

Recycle
Break attributed equipment into Attribution Fragments.
Recycle attributed equipment
Recycle (the Forge's "Recycle" tab) destroys an attributed item and gives you Attribution Fragments in return. It is the main source of fragments and therefore of new runes.
What can be recycled
- Only items that have an Attribution pool and a Classification (see Attribution Items).
- Only items with at least 1 attribute. A clean item never turns into fragments, so buying equipment from NPCs to recycle it is not possible.
- Items sold by NPCs (a plate armor, a steel shield...) can be recycled as long as they carry an attribute, for example one dropped attributed by a Star Monster.
- The item must be unequipped, in your backpacks.
How many fragments you get
You receive 3 fragments per attribute the item carries, independent of its Classification. Rare classifications add a bonus on top:
| Attributes on the item | Fragments |
|---|---|
| 1 | 3 |
| 2 | 6 |
| 3 | 9 |
| 4 | 12 |
| 5 | 15 |
| Classification | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Classification 1 | none |
| Classification 2 | none |
| Classification 3 | none |
| Classification 4 | +50% |
| Classification 5 | +100% |
Example: a Classification 5 item with 3 attributes gives 3 × 3 = 9 fragments, plus 100% = 18 fragments.
The item is destroyed. Recycling asks for confirmation with a red warning; there is no way to undo it.
