Player Shop
Sell items from your house while you are away.
Sell while you are away
The Player Shop lets a character open a shop with a sign above its head: other players walk up to it, open the shop and buy directly, with the gold going to the seller. It is the player-to-player market of Old-Pythera, without any auction house.
How it works
- Every player can open a shop for free right now (launch period). The Private Store Document (in-game Store, Utilities; 48 hours of shop rights) is coming soon and will only be required later, when the server is full.
- Open the shop window, add the items you want to sell with their prices and a shop name. Containers can be sold with their contents.
- The shop sign with your shop name appears above your character. Other players see it from a distance.
- A buyer must stand next to you (adjacent square, same floor) to open the shop and buy. The shop window closes automatically if either of you moves away.
- If you move from the square where the shop was opened, the shop closes.
Rules
- Prices and offers are checked by the server at the moment of purchase; gold and items change hands only if both sides are still valid.
- NPC trade, the in-game Store and normal player trading are separate systems and are not affected.
- Shops are meant for towns and depots; the sign is visible to everyone around.
